Heatmap Custom Columns

This feature enables users in the EX Portal to create, customize, and control columns within the heatmap widget by combining multiple employee attributes such as Department, Location, Language, etc. This powerful feature allows deeper, multidimensional analysis by defining custom segments directly on the dashboard, enhancing data clarity and insight precision. Users can reorder these custom columns with drag-and-drop ease and tailor visibility through fine-grained access control, ensuring sensitive data is shared securely and relevance is maximized for each stakeholder. Custom columns are add-on columns to the existing heatmap, you cannot create a heatmap with only custom columns.

Create a heatmap as you usually do in the dashboard. To add custom columns in this heatmap, follow these steps:

• Go and click on the Custom Columns option in the Kebab menu dropdown on the widget.

• The Custom Columns pop up will open. To create a new column, click on the New Column button.

• You can now give a name to the column by updating the column label and add the filters as needed. You also have the option to add specific viewer(s) to the column by switching on the Enable Viewers toggle.

• By default the Enable Viewers toggle is Off. To add viewers switch on the toggle and select the viewers from the select dropdown. After all the details are selected as needed, click on Save to add the column.

• To edit a custom column, go and click on the Custom Columns option in the kebab menu on the widget. The Custom Columns pop up will open up showing all the added custom columns. You can now reorder the columns by drag and drop, hide a column by clicking on the eye icon, delete a column by clicking on the delete icon or can edit a column by clicking on the edit icon.

• On clicking Edit, you can update all the information about the column.
