Bipolar Matrix - Slider

A bipolar matrix question arranges the rating scale between negative and positive extremes.

For example, you want to find out about your customers latest purchase from your fashion store. You can ask your customers for feedback asking them to rate for the characteristics that you are looking to improve.

• Go to: Login » Surveys (select a survey) » Edit » Workspace
• Click on Add Question

• Select the Multi-Point Scales question type under Basic Matrix

• Click on Settings and turn on the switch for Bipolar
• Select the Answer Type as Slider

• Add your question text if you haven't already added and the bipolar scale ends to your rows.

• The bipolar slider scale will always start at the center position.

For bipolar slider, we allow 3, 5, 7, 9, 0r 11 point scales. when you switch to the bipolar slider question, by default a 5 point scale is used. You can switch between the scales using the point scale option. This option is only applicable for slider input type. For bipolar radio or other answer types, you can freely add columns.

Yes. By default, the slider scale pointers use the survey theme color. You can change this under Settings by picking your desired colors. Please note that this will affect all bipolar questions in your survey. This is how the survey will look:

To view the report for matrix multi-select question:

Go to: Login » Surveys (select a survey) » Analytics » Dashboard

• Count: Number of responses received for each combination of row and column ("-2" and "itchy").
• Percentage: This is the percentage calculated for the count for that row out of the total responses received.

  Formula: Percentage = Count/Total count * 100. For example, count for "-2" and "itchy" is 14, total count received for that row is 50. Hence, the percentage is 28% (14/50 * 100).
