reCAPTCHA question

reCAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing Test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. It is a type of challenge-response test used in computing to determine whether the user is a human or not. reCAPTCHA tests are used to prevent automated programs from using various types of computing services or collecting certain types of sensitive information.

How can I add a CAPTCHA question to my survey?

Go to: Login » Surveys (select a survey) » Edit » Workspace

Click on the Add Question button.

Select the Captcha question type from the Misc group under the Basic question types.

Adding a Captcha question also adds a mandatory page break after the question. CAPTCHA questions are always validated (meaning they always require a response).

When respondents access the survey, they will need to pass captcha to proceed with the survey.

How is the data stored for the CAPTCHA question type?

We use Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish between human and automated access. We do not capture or store any PII data for respondents and only save the result of the question type as PASS. If CAPTCHA fails, the response is not captured and respondents are not allowed to proceed with the survey any further.
