Connect QuestionPro MCP Servers to Microsoft Copilot Studio

QuestionPro MCP servers let Microsoft Copilot Studio interact directly with your QuestionPro account — creating surveys, retrieving responses, analyzing data, managing integrations, and more — all through natural language.

Instead of building custom integrations or switching between applications, you simply connect a QuestionPro MCP server to your Copilot agent and authenticate using OAuth. Once connected, your agent can securely access the QuestionPro capabilities that you authorize.

This article walks you through adding a QuestionPro MCP server to Microsoft Copilot Studio as an MCP tool. The connection uses OAuth, so no API keys are required. You authenticate once with your QuestionPro account and Microsoft Copilot Studio receives scoped, revocable access.

Before connecting a QuestionPro MCP server to Microsoft Copilot Studio, make sure you have:

• A QuestionPro account. If you do not have one, sign up at questionpro.com.
• Access to Microsoft Copilot Studio with permission to create or edit agents.
• The MCP server URL for the QuestionPro capability you want to connect. You will get this from mcp.questionpro.com in the next step.

Each QuestionPro capability (Surveys, BI, CX, Webhooks, and so on) has its own MCP server with a unique URL. To find it:

• Go to mcp.questionpro.com.
• Browse the list of available MCP servers and select the one you want to connect.
• Copy the MCP server URL shown on the server's detail page.

You will paste this URL into Microsoft Copilot Studio in the steps below. You can repeat this process to connect multiple QuestionPro MCP servers.

Step 1: Create a new agent

• Open Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• From the left navigation menu, select Agents.
• Select + Create blank agent.
• Enter a name for your agent.
• Select Create.

Once provisioning is complete, your agent is ready for configuration.

Step 2: Add the QuestionPro MCP server

• From your agent, select the Tools tab.
• Select + Add a tool.
• Select Add new MCP.

QuestionPro is added as a custom MCP server rather than a prebuilt connector.

Step 3: Configure the QuestionPro MCP server

• Enter a Server name, such as QuestionPro.
• Enter a short Server description.
• Paste the MCP server URL copied from mcp.questionpro.com into the Server URL field.
• Select OAuth 2.0 as the authentication method.
• Under Type, select Dynamic discovery.
• Click Create.

Dynamic discovery automatically retrieves the OAuth configuration from the QuestionPro MCP server and is the recommended authentication method.

Step 4: Add the tool to your agent

• Verify that the new MCP server appears in the dialog.
• If the connection status shows Not connected, you can either connect immediately or complete authentication the first time you use the tool.
• Select Add.

The QuestionPro MCP server is now available as a tool for your agent.

The first time your agent uses the QuestionPro MCP server, Microsoft Copilot Studio prompts you to authenticate.

• In the Test your agent panel, enter a request that requires the QuestionPro tool.
• When prompted, select Open connection manager.
• Select the QuestionPro connection.
• If prompted, sign in with your QuestionPro account and approve the requested permissions.
• If you are already signed in, simply click Submit.
• Return to the Test your agent panel and select Retry.

After authentication is complete, the connection can be reused for future requests.

Once the connection is established, you can begin interacting with QuestionPro using natural language.

For example, you might ask:

• "List all the webhooks in survey 13503220."
• "Create a customer satisfaction survey with 10 questions."
• "Retrieve the latest survey responses."
• "Summarize response trends for my employee engagement survey."

If the connection has been configured successfully, Microsoft Copilot Studio will execute the appropriate QuestionPro MCP tool and return the results directly in the conversation.

Each QuestionPro capability is exposed through its own MCP server.

To add another capability:

• Return to the Tools tab.
• Select + Add a tool.
• Select Add new MCP.
• Enter the new MCP server URL.
• Complete the OAuth authentication flow.

Repeat these steps to add additional QuestionPro MCP servers to your agent.

To remove a QuestionPro MCP server from your agent:

• Open your agent in Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Navigate to the Tools tab.
• Locate the QuestionPro MCP server.
• Open the three-dot menu and select Remove.
• Confirm the removal.

Note: If you need to update the MCP server URL, remove the existing tool first and add it again using the updated URL.
